Mudit Nayyar speaks to IWMBuzz

It’s sad that Ishaaron Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein had to end abruptly: Mudit Nayyar

The continuing Coronavirus lockdown is beginning to bite our TV industry, Sony TV has scrapped three of its fiction shows Beyhadh 2, Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein, and Patiala Babes. They will not resume fresh shoots once the lockdown lifts.

Ishaaron Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein lead actor MuditNayyar says while speaking to IWMBuzz, “It is unfortunate that our deaf and mute love story has abruptly ended. Till now, we had hope that we will get back to work whenever lock lifts. But now, we will have to start searching for new work. Having said that, the show was initially supposed to have ended in February, got extended till May. The channel feels that given the lockdown standing cost was spiraling out of control, hence this call., says this actor who has done others shows like Palampur Express, Badi Devrani, and Devanshi among others.

Ask whether Sony has ready new shows to replace the above primetime shows properties, Mudit shares,”While every channel has new shows planned, I am unsure about the logistics regarding enough episode banks.”

Here he adds, “Our entire actor fraternity will face a double whammy of delayed payments cycles and newer projects coming under a cloud. Everything has gone for a toss.”

in closing, Mudit feels that given the severity of the COVID- 19 outbreak, the govt should be careful about lifting the lockdown in a hurry.

“Our entertainment industry is not high in the critical list and can wait. But yes, I do concede that our series and films also provide lots of meaningful employment.”
