Sai Ballal on Jalandhar’s shocking exit from Tumm Se Tumm Tak: “I was prepared for it, but it came as a jolt for the audience”

The recent episodes of Zee TV‘s Tumm Se Tumm Tak left viewers stunned with the unexpected death of Jalandhar, just when he was about to reveal the truth about Aryavardhan’s mysterious past to Anu. While the shocking twist has left fans with more questions than answers, actor Sai Ballal, who portrayed Jalandhar, says he had known about the character’s fate from the very beginning.

Speaking about his reaction to Jalandhar’s dramatic exit, Sai revealed that the development did not surprise him because he had already been informed about it. However, he believes the audience experienced a completely different emotion. “I had been informed right from day one that Jalandhar would be killed right before he spills out Aryavardhan’s shady past to Anu. So, it was not at all a surprise for me. I was totally prepared for it. The same cannot be said about the audience’s perspective. It may have been a jolt for them,” he said.

Sai believes Jalandhar’s death has only deepened the mystery surrounding the story instead of bringing it to a conclusion. According to him, the truth was within reach, but fate intervened at the last moment, leaving viewers even more invested in what happens next. “Yes, Jalandhar’s death might pump in more drama into the story. The suspense was about to be revealed through Jalandhar, but it didn’t. This incomplete and hanging narrative might put the audience in an intrigued state,” he shared.

Reflecting on the character’s journey, Sai described Jalandhar as a man driven by honesty and a desire for justice after losing everything because of betrayal. “Jalandhar was an honest and straightforward man. He was cheated to the hilt by Aryavardhan and Jhende. In the process, he lost everything, his family, his reputation and his very being. His only mission in life was to unmask Aryavardhan and reveal his real face to the outside world,” he said.

With Jalandhar gone before revealing the truth, Tumm Se Tumm Tak produced by Studio LSD, has opened a fresh chapter filled with suspense. While Sai remained tight-lipped about whether the character could make a return in the future, his exit has undoubtedly raised the stakes, leaving viewers eagerly waiting to discover the secrets that Jalandhar took with him.
