Tanya Sharma talks about Colors' Sasural Simar Ka

Tanya Sharma, who is popular for her role of Meera Modi in Saath Nibhana Saathiya, has done a variety of roles in numerous television series. Now, she is back on-screen with Colors show Sasural Simar Ka 2 wherein she is entertaining masses as Reema.

From creating history in the television space, becoming a national household name, to keeping the audiences entertained for 7 long years, Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka achieved multiple milestones. Now, season 2 is also winning appreciation from fans.

In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, the actress speaks about her new show, upcoming twists, and more. Read on:

How has the journey been with the show so far?

It has been an amazing experience so far. We are slowly and steadily growing. People are also supporting and loving us. I think it is good because every small step will lead us to success. It has been a month and we are already trending online. It is an overwhelming feeling.

The show is now gearing up for a high point revolving around Aarav and Reema’s wedding drama, so what can audiences look forward to?

I want to tell you that the coming episodes are so gripping that audiences will be hooked on them. The story is very pacey and it is not being dragged at all. Hence, the wedding drama will also keep viewers on their toes. It would be a visual treat as well for all the fans. I hope viewers are ready for some amazing surprises.

As we have seen, Reema is a very ambitious girl, how is Tanya in real life? What are your aspirations?

I am also ambitious in real life but nothing like Reema. While her main goal or childhood dream is to become Miss India, my goal was to become a businesswoman. However, acting happened to me and I started liking it a lot. Now, I am very passionate about the same. My goals have changed according to destiny. I am going with the flow.

You are winning appreciation for your role Reema, how does it feel?

After the TV show Udann, this is the next big thing for me. I was not shooting for any other show and then pandemic happened, so I was at home. Now, I am surprised by the responses. Even after returning to screens after two years, fans welcomed me warmly. Touchwood, I have not received any backlash till now.

You had any pressure with regards to the sequel?

It’s like Saathiya. I have already been part of a cult show previously. I was not skeptical but I feel responsible. SSK 1 was a huge hit but I feel glad to be part of this big family. Dipika Kakkar and Jayati Bhatia ma’am have accepted us in their family. I feel blessed. SSK2 has an apt cast. All fit into the role amazingly. I believe a show is hit only when the characters are well accepted. I am sure SSK 2 will be a hit like the previous one.

How has your working experience been with your co-stars?

We have bonded really well. We are shooting outdoor, so here we have been together for two months. Maybe we would have not bonded that well on set, but after spending much of time with each other, we have become really good friends and family.

When you look back at your journey in the industry, how do you feel about it?

I feel there has been growth. When I started my journey, I had no idea about acting and now I have evolved as an actress. With whatever shows I have done in this decade, I have learnt a lot. I believe if you learn something from any show, you grow as an actor and as a person too. I am looking forward to learning from this team as well.

Finally, your message to your fans…

I would like to thank them for their support. You guys have loved my previous characters and I hope you love this one as well. I am trying to put my best foot forward. Stay safe fans!
