Kanwar Dhillon, the young heartthrob of TV, has been winning everyone’s hearts via his exceptional performance as Shiva in Star Plus’s popular show Pandya Store. The intriguing storyline and fantastic performance by the actors Kanwar (Shiva) and Alice Kaushik (Raavi) are loved by their fans. ShiVi, as they are fondly called, is one of the most loved jodis of Indian television.
Talking about receiving immense love from fans, Kanwar says, “I am filled with gratitude and overwhelmed with the love that I have been receiving from fans. When I see my social media pages and trends on Instagram, I get taken aback and get speechless. I wanted a dhamakedaar comeback after the sabbatical and I am thankful to God for this appreciation. Pandya Store means a lot to me. I have been working for 9 years in this industry and I can say that being part of Pandya Store is the most fulfilling experience of my career. The best compliment I received for the role is that people think no one is fit to play Shiva other than me and this fills my heart with pride. I always knew that Shiva will be a character that will make a mark and I am glad it is happening.”
When asked about co-star Alice Kaushik, Kanwar mentions, “Alice is a beautiful person and a lovely co-star. I can easily say that she is one of the finest co-stars that I have worked with. She is a beautiful soul and that reflects on the show. We both share an amazing bond and hence audiences are loving us as a jodi on-screen.”
Kanwar and Alice are friends off-screen but on-screen they are always at loggerheads, so how do they get the right? “We are great friends off-screen but on-screen we have are at loggerheads always and I believe this tashan between us is loved by fans. We both get into arguments and fun fights off-screen as well hence the fun on-screen banter comes naturally to us. With Alice and me, there is no barrier and we are transparent. So, if I don’t like anything about her, I tell her on her face and vice versa. I feel this bond helps us to bring the amazing chemistry on-screen,” shares Kanwar.
Coming on his experience working in Bikaner for Pandya Store, he avers, “It is the first time that I have visited Bikaner. It has been a beautiful experience. I feel the audience will feel a breath of fresh air to see us shooting in a different location. I am glad to be working during such times and bringing smiles to the faces of our viewers. It is testing times for all of us but we are focused and working hard to entertain fans.”
Finally, for all ShiVi fans, Kanwar has a special message, “We have been giving a lot of romantic sequence dose to ShiVi fans. I promise there is more in store for them. I am confident that people will surely love the upcoming scenes. We have been working really hard and we hope you keep showering with love,” ends the actor.
