Known for her gripping performance in Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile and currently captivating audiences in Sony SAB’s medical drama Hui Gumm Yaadein, actress Sehaj Rajput has a soft spot for the eerie aesthetics of the spooky season. When it comes to Halloween, she knows exactly how she wants to channel her inner creature of the night.
Reflecting on her love for classic horror and pop-culture fandom, Sehaj shares her enthusiasm for the season. “If I had to pick a Halloween look, I’d completely lean into the vampire aesthetic. I’m a massive fan of The Vampire Diaries—I completely adore the actors and the entire world they created in that series. Dressing up as a vampire will give me an ultimate fan-girl moment, and honestly, watching that series is my absolute go-to comfort watch every Halloween!”
When asked about the cinematic monsters that define our childhoods, she reminisces about the timeless allure of classic horror. “The classic film The Mummy really captures the essence of horror and scary things. We have all grown up seeing these classics, and they hold a special place in defining what true cinematic creepiness is.”
Having experienced her own share of eerie, unexplainable moments—like a school trip prank in Mussoorie where her friends left her alone on a dark road and she felt a chilling rush as if someone passed straight through her face—Sehaj brings a deeply authentic appreciation for the supernatural.
On the craft of acting out intense fear under the director’s cue, she notes, “Screaming or being silent—it totally depends on the scene and situation. According to the director, I can pull off any of these emotions convincingly!”
