Sharad hails from a middle-class family with roots in Kolkata. He attended St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata to pursue his B.Com (Hons). He was also fascinated by modeling, and at the age of 20, he won the title of ‘Face of the Year-Kolkata.’ His life took a turn for the better when he won the title of ‘Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj’ from Kolkata division in 2004.

Sharad is currently playing Raunak in Star Bharat’s Muskaan opposite Yesha Rughani. Sharad started his career with the TV serial “Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag” in which he played the role of ‘Prince Goldy.’ He later made his acting debut rising to fame with his role of “Sagar Pratap Singh” in Zee TV’s show ‘Banoo Main Teri Dulhann,’ where he played the role of a mentally challenged person.

He also played the lead role in Sony TV’s Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap opposite Rachana Parulkar. He then played the lead role of Rishi in the popular show Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki opposite Kratika Senger. In 2012, he made his debut in Bollywood with the film “From Sydney with Love.”
He has won several awards like the Indian Telly Awards, Gold award, Zee Rishtey Awards, Kalakaar Awards, and many more such awards numerous times. He has done a lot of prominent roles and has a huge fan following.

According to him, if he wasn’t an actor, he would have been a director or a cricketer. Moreover, he has been part of the “Kolkata Baabu Moshayes” team in the MTV Box Cricket League. His hobbies include traveling, doing martial arts, reading, and collecting watches.
