In the ongoing track of popular &TV show, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, cute Angoori Bhabhi (Shubangi Atre Poorey) is going against the grain of her sweet character, and insulting everyone, including her Ladooke Bhaiya, as part of a foolish attempt to increase her husband, ManmohanTiwari’s (Rohitash Gaud) life.
While the audience is enjoying this, giving her the benefit of doubt due to her dumb character, will they warm up to their sweet Bhabhi spewing the choicest cuss words?
This very well might happen, for not satisfied with doing just sweet, positive roles, (Kasturi, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani) this highly talented actress now wants to go a notch higher than her above avatar. “I would not mind swearing on screen, as we actors should always push the envelope.”
“I am very happy to get the love of the audiences as Angoori, having worked very hard for the same, but then, the actor within wants more. It would be interesting to try out other types of characters, rather than just the good dumb bahu.” She is also game for edgier kind of narratives.
Kudos to Shubhangi! We doff our hats to your endeavor to be diverse; other, less confident actors would not have considered taking up this challenge. One more factor which might have encouraged her to make this 360 degree turn, is a wish to speak to newer audiences.
