Anjali Tatrari has been a powerhouse of talent and entertained masses as Niya Sharma in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. After creating magic on-screen as Niya, she is now seen as Sargam in the Sony TV show Sargam Ki Sadhe Satii.

The actress feels elated to be trying comedy for the first time, she says, “It has been a great experience working so far as I am trying a new genre this time. It’s a new experience for me. I feel comedy opens up you as an actor. It sharpens your skills. I was pretty particular about the kind of shows I want to do, I chose Sargam because it was not a regular saas-bahu drama. As an actor, I wanted to try something different from what I have already done. This script and genre attracted me the most.”

So do you think it is difficult to make people laugh? Anjali quips, “It is very difficult because if you do a scene 3-4 times, you have to make sure that punches should come right or else it looks monotonous and flat. Actually, I feel it is a difficult genre, having said that if once you get a hang of it then you enjoy doing it. Initially, I was facing trouble but now I am enjoying every scene.”

When asked Anjali if she misses female costars around her considering the show revolves around seven and a half men, she shares, “Sometimes I do miss having females around me. As I am the only girl on the set, I am the center of attraction for all the pranks and other things. Be it on or off-screen, these men never leave a chance to take my case and that is when I feel and wish if I had one more female. Also most of the time, they don’t even include me in their conversations. But I would also like to mention that we all have bonded really well on set. Everyone on the sets is really amazing to work with.”

Finally, Anjali says, “I would like to ask my fans to keep showering their love on me and our new show.”

Good luck Anjali!
