Mohit Malik who has finally tested negative for COVID-19 talks of his quarantine phase and on life ahead.

Mohit Malik the popular actor has come out as a winner from his COVID-battle.

Mohit was tested positive for COVID-19 after developing minor symptoms in mid-January. Immediately, the actor went into an isolation phase at his own home, and luckily for him, his pregnant wife Addite tested negative.

This forced break from work meant that Mohit Malik was not available to shoot the climax of his ongoing show Lockdown Ki Lovestory which ended recently.

Says Mohit, “This has never happened in my career that I could not finish my show. I would have loved to be on the set and with everyone and give it a good end. I had a very nice bond with all the co-actors.”

Mohit and Addite had moved to their new home in December 2020. Mohit says, “There is a lot of work pending for our new home. So now that I am free from COVID, I want to concentrate on the housework and get everything done as per plan. I am also enjoying my time finally with Addite (smiles).”

Mohit Malik has a clear chalked plan for the coming months. He will be attending his sister’s wedding in Delhi in mid-February. “I will be going to Delhi for three days for my sister’s wedding. I will be going to Delhi after nearly two years. This has never happened with me. I have always made sure that I visit Delhi every three months. But I was busy with Kulfi Kumar Bajewala, post which we had to take care of Papa’s (Addite’s father) health. The lockdown later stopped me from going, post which I got Lockdown Ki Lovestory.”

Mohit is happy that his spiritual side helped him a lot during the isolation phase of COVID-19. “It is very easy to say that you stay in quarantine for a phase and get out of it. However, there was a time, I think on the 12th day, when I was getting mad about being alone. It simply seemed never-ending. You get a thought that the tunnel is getting deeper and there is no light to be seen on the other side of it. The main part is that you tend to miss the human touch. COVID literally separates you from the people you love the most. Having said this, I took it well. My spirituality helped me to get over this loneliness. I did quite a lot of new stuff, being alone. I meditated a lot, I slept a lot, I saw a lot of good series on television and spent time on myself. I also connected with a lot of old friends, sitting in one room. My quarantine got extended because Addite is pregnant. Even after coming out of the room, I was very careful with Addite. I was away from her for 17 days. Now, it has been 20 days and all is safe. Only today, I properly hugged Addite (smiles). There was so much of want to go and take care of her and be with her, but could not do it. Finally, I have overcome that phase. Life and the situations we go through teach us a lot.”

Ask him about work and Mohit Malik states, “I cannot stay away from work for a long time. That’s for sure. At the same time, I want to be around Addite during this time. I don’t want to plan anything; I just want to go with the flow. If something good comes up which requires lesser dates, I will take it up. Having said that, I will want to be with Addite during her final month of pregnancy and a month or so post-delivery (delivery in May)”.

Tell Mohit Malik that Valentine’s Day is coming and he can celebrate it in a grand way with Addite and he states, “I am planning something for Valentine’s. By 14th, I will be much better in health. I have few ideas in mind for Valentine’s. Let’s see what works out. This Valentine’s will be special for both of us because when we celebrate it the next year, we will have a new addition in our family (smiles).”
