Spreha Chatterjee, who plays Maahi in Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa and has wowed viewers with her layered and natural performance, recently talked about her childhood summer vacations and the memories that are still very important to her. She shared a glimpse of her simpler, carefree days, which made fans feel closer to her.

Spreha talked about her earliest summer memories and how her vacations were never just one kind of experience. She said, “When I think of summer vacations as a child, the first memories that come to mind are a mix of creativity, family time, and simple joys.” She added that she enjoyed both travelling and staying at home, making the most of every moment in her own way.

The actress fondly remembered how some summers were all about learning and expressing herself. “Some summers were especially exciting as I joined theatre classes, where I could express myself, build confidence, and learn new skills. That experience made my vacations feel meaningful and productive,” she shared. Along with that, family trips also played a big role in shaping her memories. “I also cherished trips with my family to hill stations, where the change in weather and surroundings brought a refreshing break from routine and created lasting memories,” Spreha said.

Apart from travel and activities, she also enjoyed the quiet moments at home. “There were also plenty of quieter, equally special moments at home when I enjoyed cooking, delicious food, and spent quality time with loved ones,” she added, highlighting how her vacations were a perfect balance of fun and relaxation.

When asked about her favourite summer activities, Spreha explained that it was never about just one thing. “My summer vacations growing up weren’t about just one activity; it was the contrast between doing so much and yet feeling completely free,” she said. From theatre classes to family outings and experimenting in the kitchen, every experience added to her happiness.

However, what she misses the most is the feeling that came with those days. “If I’m being honest, my favourite ‘activity’ wasn’t really an activity at all. It was the feeling of being carefree. No schedules that mattered, no constant overthinking, just days that unfolded slowly and effortlessly,” she shared.

Looking back, Spreha admitted that she wouldn’t choose a specific memory to relive. Instead, she would go back to a time when life felt lighter. “If I could relive one summer, I wouldn’t pick a specific trip or event. I’d go back to one of those perfectly simple, unburdened summers… where my only job was to enjoy the moment,” she concluded, leaving fans with a warm sense of nostalgia.
