For television actor Pratham Kunwar—currently winning audiences over as Anant in the popular Dangal TV show Hamari Bhabhi No. 1—birthdays aren’t about hitting pause on life. Instead, they are about embracing the craft he loves so deeply.
Celebrating his special day right on set, Pratham reflected on the magic of spending another year doing what he loves. “Another birthday, another day on set, and another beautiful reminder of how fortunate I am to be doing what I love.”
However, the day came with its own set of hurdles. ” I had an unexpected minor leg injury during an outdoor shoot. I started my day today with a physiotherapy session before heading straight into my set.”
Looking back at how he usually spends his milestones, Pratham shared that most of his recent birthdays have been working ones. “I feel truly blessed that most of my birthdays in recent years have been working birthdays. Being able to celebrate life while doing what I love, surrounded by an amazing cast and crew, is a privilege I never take for granted. A little cake-cutting on set, a few smiles, and perhaps a longer shooting day today — that’s my kind of celebration.”
“This year also carries a quieter, more emotional tone as I remember my late father. Some celebrations become softer with time, but gratitude, love, and memories remain forever,” he said.
Summing up his perspective on turning a year older amidst the hustle of a television set, Pratham offered a beautiful philosophy on life and work. “The greatest birthday gift is not a day off, but the privilege of waking up, pursuing your passion, and being surrounded by people who make your journey meaningful.”
