Nitin Bhatia the talented actor who is playing the role of Bunty in Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Chahatein has been excited with the kind of transformation and development that his character saw in the show recently. From being the loving best friend of Rudraksh (Abrar Qazi), Bunty became the baddie, who conspired to kill Rudraksh’s family, Preesha and Roohi. He was also seen in the ALTBalaji series His Storyy.
In an exclusive chat with IWMBuzz.com, Nitin talks about this new change in his character and on his performance.

Bunty has been a very lovable character till now. How was your first reaction like when you heard about him turning negative?
I had two moods when I got to know of this development in the character of Bunty. The first reaction was very awkward. He was the support system of Rudraksh. Suddenly, he was turning into a negative character. I was surprised to see this change in Bunty, the reason being I have a huge offscreen and onscreen bond with Abrar. The second reaction was that I had the opportunity to go beyond the positive zone. He turned negative for a reason and grew vengeful. That aroused and made the actor in me happy.
How did you prep to turn into your extreme opposite in the show?
There was no time for a long preparation phase. I went with the flow.
Tell us about your bond with Sargun and Abrar?
I have great scenes with Abrar and Sargun. Abrar is my best buddy, both on-screen and off the screen. I get positive vibes when I go near both of them. Hence our scenes are very good. Every show has its own aura. This show Yeh Hai Chahatein is doing really well. Their positive personalities have reflected in the show’s success.
How are you enjoying this negative persona in Bunty?
I am enjoying this character. The first negative phase is that he was doing a scam. Now, he has turned into a mad guy, which is louder. This is a changeover, and I am enjoying it.
What is the kind of viewers’ feedback you are getting for this twist in the show?
My Instagram is flooded with a lot of messages. I have not got the time to check all the messages. But I am loving the way that fans are worried that Rudraksh’s friend has cheated on him.

My message to fans is that shower all the love as you are doing on Yeh Hai Chahatein. Don’t take our characters very seriously. At the end of the day, shows give entertainment. Enjoy every phase that is shown.
