From modelling campaigns to starring in a Telugu science-fiction thriller, Arhaan Khan’s career has gone through several distinct phases, with each chapter adding a new dimension to his journey as an actor. Known for his work in MTV Fanaah, Badho Bahu, Srivalli and Bigg Boss 13, Arhaan says he has never believed in taking up a project simply because it comes his way.
He said, “My journey started with modelling and print campaign shoots, which gave me my first exposure to the camera and helped me understand the discipline and demands of the industry. From there, I gradually started exploring different genres and different opportunities.”
Despite receiving multiple offers along the way, he’s always been particular about what he takes on. He said, “I have been fortunate enough to receive multiple offers at different stages of my career, but I have always tried not to choose something simply because it is available.”
“I want to feel a connection with the character and the project that I’d associate myself with. There has to be something that feels meaningful to me and something that matches my personality, my aura or the kind of artist I want to become,” he added.
Among his projects, Srivalli holds a special place, marking a shift in how the industry began to view him. He said, “Srivalli was definitely one of the earliest moments that made me feel that the industry was beginning to recognise me beyond modelling and television.”
Badho Bahu, meanwhile, gave him something equally valuable, consistency. He said, “Badho Bahu was another important chapter in my journey because it gave me the opportunity to work consistently, understand the process of television at a deeper level and connect with audiences.”
And then came Bigg Boss 13, an experience that let audiences see him without the filter of a scripted role. He said, “Bigg Boss 13 was a very different experience too because it allowed people to see me beyond a scripted character and understand my personality in a much more direct way.”
“And even today, I look at every project as another opportunity to add something new to that journey,” Arhaan ended.
