Manit Joura, who has been winning hearts in the role of Dhairya in Colors TV’s Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki, is thankful for all the lessons he learned in 2025. He is also grateful for the love being showered on him for his performance in the show.
In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Manit talks about his role, the scope for acting offered in television, his biggest learning in 2025, and his outlook in the New Year.
Manit says, “I am grateful for the love I am receiving for Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki. I am humbled by the fact that people are liking what I am doing. Having said that, I do not want to take the credit alone. An actor is a vulnerable entity. We alone, taking credit for a good performance, is the wrong place to begin. I think the collaborative team process enhances performance. An actor alone cannot pull such a good performance. It is a vision of a director and writer.”
Talking about the scope that television offers, he says, “I believe there is a lot of good work that happens on TV. It is very important to be a part of it. I have never understood the fact that when people say there is no scope for acting on TV. I see it as an excuse. If an actor is ready to act, why can’t he pull off a good performance on TV? Yes, there is pressure to do a lot of scenes in a given day. But that should not affect the performance. It is the job of actors to simplify the process and make it simple.”
On the good ratings of Mannat, Manit avers, “The ratings of Mannat have come up. I am happy, we are all happy. I live with the fact that there are times when the characters we play do not touch hearts. At times, characters touch hearts, and sometimes, they do not. I take it with a pinch of salt whether I face success or failure.”
Speaking about the learnings in 2025, he quips, “The year 2025 has taught me a lot. We are not indispensable. I used to think that my father was a rock and he would be there for me always. After he left us, we could not recover from the void he left. Once in a while, we should stop, sit and understand the priorities in our life. Taking care of my mom’s health is my priority now.”
“The joyous moment in 2025 was when I went to the set of Mannat on the very first day. I went into the same makeup room where I used to sit for Kundali Bhagya. I felt the strong vibe that I just belong here,” he explains.
“The most positive impact that I have had in all my years is my mother. Even when we lost our father, the way she took care of us and handled everything so gracefully, without letting us feel that she was going through the most treacherous phase, was remarkable. I am learning to grow again by taking care of her,” he chides.
Speaking about the many constants in his routine, he says, “My routine has not changed a bit in the last 20 years. Wake up on time, sleep on time, not eat after 7 PM, and take out 45 minutes for myself, where I do either walking, weight training or yoga. I try to be a foodie. But I cannot control eating sweet items. I hope this year I will be better off there.”
“My priority, always, has been to be mentally peaceful and healthy,” he says.
On what he wants to do in the New Year, heis very clear in his thoughts. “This year, I want to learn Greek fluently. I love learning new languages. I love speaking in Hindi, English, Urdu, etc. I want to learn Greek to the best of my abilities, as I would love to speak with her wife in the language.
Looking forward to the New Year, he says, “I open my arms to every experience, good or bad, in 2026. I am grateful for everything that life has given me.”
