Abhishek Sharrma, who plays the male lead Devansh in Zee TV’s popular daily soap Vasudha, has won consistent praise for his performance. However, as the storyline approaches a major turning point following the exposure of Savitri’s husband, Abhishek reveals that Devansh and Vasudha’s relationship is headed for a painful trial.
Vasudha will soon embark on a mandatory one-year fast (vrat), forcing a bittersweet separation that plunges Devansh into an intense emotional journey.
Explaining the turn of events, Abhishek shared that Vasudha’s one-year fast is directly tied to a mandate set by Chandrika. “Chandrika laid down clear conditions regarding when Vasudha could begin her fast. Her departure was conditional on peace being restored within the family. Now that Savitri’s husband has been unmasked, Vasudha must fulfil her commitment and leave for her year-long vrat. This drastically alters the family dynamics—Dev and Vasu will be separated, and the household will have to navigate life without her presence,” Abhishek explained.
The upcoming episodes will focus heavily on how the household copes with Vasudha’s absence, particularly highlighting Devansh’s personal grief. “Dev goes into a very quiet space where he stops engaging with everyone. He completely submerges himself in work, neglecting basic routines like food. His family grows deeply concerned over his silence. He spends his nights longing for her—talking to the moon, holding onto her photograph, and enduring immense sorrow and yearning,” the actor shared.
Devansh’s struggles will extend beyond his personal heartbreak. Alongside the pain of separation, he finds himself confronting growing trouble at the family factory—a situation further complicated by family secrets. “Dev faces a dual challenge: he is heartbroken without Vasu, and simultaneously, major problems are brewing at the factory that Maa Saa is keeping him away from. Driven by an intense need for answers, he will set out to uncover what is happening at the factory, figure out why he cannot reach Vasudha, and eventually embark on a journey to Mundwa to unravel the surrounding mystery,” Abhishek revealed.
