In Mumbai, Ganesh Chaturthi is more than just a festival—it is an overwhelming emotion that binds millions together. The city transforms into a vibrant, glowing hub of faith as massive pandals spring up in every neighbourhood, resounding with the beat of the dhol and chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya.’ Lord Ganesha represents hope, obstacle removal, and a quiet listener for heart-poured wishes. Priyanshi Yadav, who currently wins hearts as the lead character Vrinda in Zee TV’s family drama Tu Hi Re Dil Mein, shares a deeply personal journey rooted in unwavering faith. Marking the festive spirit with grandeur and warmth, Zee TV hosted the Zee Rishton Ka Mela Ganpati Special, bringing together its television stars to share their heartfelt devotion and nostalgia surrounding the festival.
Before stepping into the world of acting, Priyanshi spent her early years in Delhi. “Three years ago, when I lived in Delhi, a Ganpati pandal was set up right below my house every single year. I made it a point never to miss visiting the pandal to seek Bappa’s blessings. No matter what was happening—whether I had exams or was feeling unwell—I always made sure to go and stand before him.”
While her ambition to make it to acting seemed distant to her family at the time, Priyanshi found a confidant in Bappa. “I would pray to Ganpati Bappa and whisper my biggest wish—that I wanted to come to Mumbai and build a life as an actor. My parents weren’t ready to send me to Mumbai back then, so I often turned to Bappa, asking him to make this dream come true for me.”
Faith moved mountains and opened doors for her in Mumbai. Today, she feels excited about her journey as an actor and calls it a divine full circle. “This year, I am right here in Mumbai performing for the Zee Rishton Ka Mela-Ganpati Special—living my dream of working as an actor every single day. I truly believe this journey unfolded because of Ganpati Bappa’s blessings; he heard my heartfelt prayers and guided me here.”
