Veteran actor Sharad Kelkar, known for his powerful performances and charismatic screen presence, is back on Zee TV with the emotionally rich drama Tumm Se Tumm Tak. Produced by Studio LSD, the show features Sharad as the enigmatic and layered character Arya Vardhan.

Sharad describes that acting is not just another acting job, but a personal evolution. “The story has a lot of layers, inner conflicts, and a beautiful love story,” he shares. “People will see a new side of me in this show.”

If you want to grow as an actor, you have to do different roles. I don’t want to be bound by an image.

Sharad’s association with Zee TV goes back to the early days of his television career. “All credit goes to Zee TV because people started recognising me with Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and then Saat Phere. I worked with Zee for more than four and a half years, and I owe a lot to them.”

He also fondly remembers the success of Agent Raghav, another significant show in his career. Now, after an eight-year gap, he returns to the channel that helped him make a name. “The team has changed,” he notes, “but their dedication and motivation to tell impactful stories is still the same.”

For Sharad Kelkar, acting is an ongoing journey of self-discovery. “No matter what role you do, the process of learning and growing is always there. Even after so many years, every character brings something new, something that challenges you,” he says.

Arya Vardhan is a far cry from cookie-cutter heroes. The role pushes boundaries, explores emotions, and reflects internal dilemmas that resonate with real people. “If you want to grow as an actor, you have to do different roles. I don’t want to be bound by an image,” Kelkar insists.

What makes this show even more compelling is its bold writing. “The story doesn’t shy away from challenging societal norms, which is still rarely seen on Indian television. That’s what makes it stand out. It’s not just entertainment—it’s thought-provoking.”

Sharad is all praise for Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah, the creative duo behind Tumm Se Tumm Tak. “Prateek is incredibly humble and so clean at heart. The fact that he and Parth have come up with this show, with such honesty and clarity, is amazing,” he says.

“I truly thank them for bringing me back into the lives of my fans on Zee.”

One of the warmest parts of working on the show, Sharad says, is sharing screen space with Soma Rathod, a fan-favourite known for her comic timing and vibrant personality.

“Everyone is a huge fan of Soma ma’am. Every time she brings something homemade to eat, we all just wait for our scenes together,” he laughs. “You’ll fall in love with her in the show—she brings such a unique energy to every scene.”
