How do you define a successful relationship, and what do you think is its important element?
The benchmark of any successful relationship will be, of course, honesty, transparency, understanding, companionship, enjoying doing things together, and also the ability to gauge the situation when the partner is not able to give as much, and make up for it.
What specifically makes you feel most secure and at home in your relationship with your partner?
The ability to be vulnerable with your partner, and the ability to see sides of you, which you would otherwise not be fine sharing with someone else. This confidence that you have someone to fall back on is what makes you feel secure in your relationship.
What aspect makes you proud of your relationship?
The manner in which we have been able to be friends first makes me feel proud. There is absolutely nothing that I cannot share with him, and I know how it will be received. That space to just speak my mind freely is the best aspect that makes me proud.
What is one small thing that your partner can do to make your day better?
The one thing he can do to make my day better is just to take me out (smiles). Also, sometimes, just being there with me helps me make my day better.
What is your personal measure for a happy married life?
My measure for a happy married life is how you come back after the problems or the fights. There will be no marriage that will have a smooth sailing. The measure is how strongly and how quickly you can come back to understanding that this is the man to be with.
What are the plans for this Valentine’s Day?
Valentine’s Day happens to be my in-laws’ wedding anniversary. So we will obviously go out with them during the day. At night, we plan to go out with friends. Our anniversary happened a few days back, where we spent time in private. Now, we want to take out a few friends and celebrate.
