Actor Abeer Singh Godhwani who was last seen in Naagin 6 will soon enter the popular and long-running show Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut. Abeer will replace Mayank Arora in the role of Kairav.
In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Abeer talks about his approach to playing Kairav Goenka. “I have my own style and way when it comes to approaching the role. I am thankful to Rajan Shahi Sir and the channel for choosing me for this well-established character. Kairav being the brother of Akshara and Aarohi, is important in the plot.”
“Rajan Shahi Sir is a visionary. He must have seen something in me, that made him give me the opportunity. I now want to give my best to the role. Usually, it takes a long time for a known character to be replaced. But in this case, everything happened very quickly. My only prayer is that I hope I do full justice to the role given to me,” Abeer shares his honest thoughts with us.
Talking about imbibing the characteristics of Kairav Goenka, “Well, there is a silver lining in this role now. Though I step into the already popular role, viewers will see a totally changed Kairav now. So this means that I need not go by the book and the known attributes of the character. As far as I know, Kairav will be changed drastically. Right from his dressing sense, his look and the way he speaks, everything will be different about him. His equations towards Abhimanyu and Akshara will also be changed. So in short, viewers will see a never-seen-before Kairav Goenka now.”
Ask him about the expectations he has from this role, Abeer avers, “I have my fingers as well as legs crossed. I pray that people accept me. Kairav has gone through a lot in life, and viewers will see a new personality now. I expect to give my best to the character, and to the show. I will accept whatever return I get with open arms.”
