Actor Worship Khanna who was last seen in Dhruv Tara -Samay Sadi Se Pare, has joined the cast of Shashi Sumeet Productions’ new show for Dangal titled Pati Brahmachari. The show which has Ashish Dixit and Prapti Shukla playing the main leads, will see Worship play the role of Puran, the close friend and brother to the male lead.
Worship is happy to have got this challenging character, especially because he plays a role that he has never played before.
Says Worship, “This character is a big challenge as in my previous show Dhruv Tara, I played a glamorous character. Now I play a lower middle class guy, a person who lives in the chawl. Puran is a simpleton, happy with his living and small successes. My last character was negative, and this one is a positive. There is a lot of positivity and charm in the character.”
He adds more to his character saying, “This character is prominent in the show. He is going to play a very big impact in the story. Puran is the hero’s brother and friend. Both are there for each other in times of happiness and problems. This role will yet again prove my versatality. It is difficult for me to get into the skin of Puran as he is a non-glam character. I will give my cent percent to justify this character.”
