Youngster Krishna Kaul has bagged his big break on the daily soap scenario with the Balaji Telefilms’ show Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV.

The generation leap recently seen in the show brought in the young wave in the form of daughters of Abhi and Pragya, and with them the male lead on the show.

Krishna whose first work was on the web platform for Puncch Beat, the successful ALTBalaji series produced by Vikas Gupta’s Lost Boy Productions, has also been part of the adventure reality show, Roadies.

Getting into the daily soap scenario was tough yet challenging for young Krishna.

Says Krishna in an exclusive talk with IWMBuzz.com, “I started my career from the web platform. I am very young in age to have followed a daily soap. And when I bagged Kumkum Bhagya, I realized that the way of work on the web platform differs from that on TV. I put in lot of effort to get a hang of it and started understanding the nuances better. Once you get appreciated for the work put in, automatically things fall in place.”

“Kumkum Bhagya has been a popular show. Working with the cast and team is awesome. It is a very good work atmosphere on the set,” he adds.

Krishna who is in the early stage of his career states, “I have learned a lot with the experienced got so far. When I was part of Roadies, I had to put in more of physical and mental work. You have to be at your best and give your 100 percent to the job in hand. It was a non-fiction reality show, and I had to be what I am.”

“My entry in Kumkum Bhagya taught me the nuances of being an actor and getting into scripts,” he states.

Talking about his role, Krishna avers, “The role is pretty cool. Ranbir is exactly similar to how I was in college (smiles). So I get to be more of Krishna onscreen. Getting into the character has been easy for me. I love portraying this character.”

“Ranbir is the guy I grew up thinking I was, and wanted to be. Most of my generation will want to be like Ranbir,” he goes on to state.

Krishna’s family is very happy with his debut on the daily soap scenario, especially in a show like Kumkum Bhagya. “My grandmother is a big fan of Kumkum Bhagya. She has been following it for the past 3 – 4 years. She is very happy with my entry in the show. She feels I will get a wider audience with this show. Her only opinion is that Ranbir should wear more of clothes (laughs). She also feels that Ranbir should pair up with Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar) as she is the ideal bahu.”

“My parents are also happy with my work in Kumkum Bhagya. They love to see me onscreen,” he quips further.

On his growing fan base, Krishna says, “I had a decent fan base with Puncch Beat. However, the fans out there were very young. The fans for Roadies were again different. And now, it is a different kind of audience watching Kumkum Bhagya. I will love to to have fans from all age groups.”

Best of luck, Krishna!!
