“It is important for India to know what India is good at and what India is capable of,” is typically what inspires a show like Ideabaaz. Gestures are grand. Gives a platform to promote new-age startups. Entrepreneurship is becoming the heart of India, and therefore, shows like these always bring us the momentum to take pride in.
Pratik Gandhi becomes the host and the brand ambassador of the first idea. To watch him as a host was invigorating. So far, it’s been his tedious and meticulous roles on the screen. He keeps you hooked, engaged, and pushes all the way to dazzle the stage. But the enthusiastic graph goes down as we proceed.
The curtains fall on the show as the lite version of Shark Tank. To call it a replica shall not be fair, as we see the light of metamorphosis here and there, but it almost feels like a shadow of what Shark Tank brought onto our tables.
There, we had ‘Sharks’; here, you have ‘Titans.’ All of them are visionaries from their own empires—the ensemble included, Arjun Vaidya, Jimmy Mistry, Sandesh Sharda, Anupam Bansal, Shaili Chopra, Archana Jahagirdar, Priyanka Salot, Rishab Mariwala, Pawan Jaggi, and Simron Mhapatra.
Titans are here to mentor the startups, even if they do not invest in specific ideas. We saw Sharks loud, sometimes brutal with their deliveries. Titans showed us what grace feels like. We can say Ideabaaz chose not to be as gaudy as Shark Tank, but picked up the pebbles where and when needed.
Pitches were entertaining. Keeping the details cocooned. All, if revealed here, you miss the fun of the watch. But we noticed more theatrics and caricatures during the pitches—too much drama, almost cartoonish. You somehow lost the connection because of a lack of sincerity while the pitches were running.
