Star Plus’s new show Smart Jodi released few days back is making hurls amongst the viewers, the show is truly an entertainment-packed show that gives you a ride straight to tv couples’ lives
Star Plus has a winner in hands with Smart Jodi. Watching real-life couples participating in reality shows isn’t new to the Indian subcontinent. With hit shows like Nach Baliye, Power Couple and more, we definitely got a heap of chances to see our favourite real-life jodis perform onscreen and participate in toasty tasks; but Smart Jodi, streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar and Star Plus, offers you something you never experienced before on the television screen. The show hovers on every beat that counts on ‘Fun’ ‘Wit’ ‘Romance’ and more. What’s more, it gives you a ride straight to the lives of your favourite tv-couples with a loupe.
The Vision
Smart Jodi boasts with 10 most adored power couples from television, who would epitomise their love life on camera, their relationship onscreen while they would also partake in some stimulating activities as will be assorted by the host, Maniesh Paul. But there’s a twist, the show would pit the celebs and their real-life partners against each other. The show is a remake of the Telugu reality show ‘Ishmart Jodi’ that was broadcasted by ‘Star Maa’ (host: Actor Ohmkar)

Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain
The couple tied the knot last year December. The actress earlier was seen in the show Pavitra Rishta 2 and the film Manikarnika with Kangana Ranaut. However, this would be the first time for the actress to come onscreen on a show along with her husband
Arjun Bijlani-Neha Swami
The Miley Jab Hum Tum actor who recently earned immense love with his participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi shall be participating onscreen in a show for the first time with his wife Neha Swami.
Monalisa-Vikraant Singh
The sassy couple tied the knot back in 2017. The duo has given couple goals with their back-to-back lovey-dovey pictures onscreen and now would participate in the show together.
Neil Bhatt-Aishwarya Sharma
The couple got married last year in November. The couple additionally be co-stars in the show, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein
Natalya Ilina-Rahul Mahajan
The couple tied the knot last year. Natalya is a popular internet star, and Rahul earned a name amongst television viewers with his participation in Bigg Boss and Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega.
Krishnamachari Srikkanth-Vidya
The former cricketer is all set for his television venture with his wife, as we will see them participating in the show. For the unversed, Krishnamachari Srikkanth was a part of the 1983 world cup Indian team.

Bhagyashree who got her name marked in the industry in the film Maine Pyar Kiya along with Salman Khan would make a comeback to the screen with her husband Himalay.
Gaurav Taneja-Ritu Rathee
The infamous ‘Flying Beast’ family from the digital world took their fans by surprise as they decided to participate in the show. Taking it to their social media, the couple stated, “So happy to announce that, as a Flying Beast family, we are starting our new journey on Television.”
What’s Unique in the store?
There is no judge in the show. The contestants will have to complete the tasks with utter proficiency to be able to make it to the finale. This doesn’t just give the contestants an open space to work on the specks of the tasks, but the viewers a broad spectrum to be able to treasure the show throughout.
The creative team weaves moments on screen that stay with viewers. Fun, romance and chemistry with dollops of nostalgic masti adds to the overall appeal. Costumes and production value add to glitz and Manish Paul does his best to captain the ship, and he is a master of the craft. These are early days but traditionally Star Plus is known for creating good non-fiction shows with immense mass appeal. However, it will ultimately be with the contestants to up the engagement level.
