Shilpa Shinde recently reunited with the makers of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain after almost a decade, reprising her role as Angoori Bhabhi after the messy fallout at the beginning, when she was at the peak of her fame, after which she quit the show. And now, in the recent podcast with Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa, the actress broke he silence, getting emotional, recalling the past incidents.
Shilpa revealed how she was proposed to sign an exclusive contract that wouldn’t allow her to work elsewhere. She emphasized how extremely bonded the contract was that would control her decisions and not just that she could not work elsewhere, but also couldn’t negotiate for money. The actress didn’t agree to this contract, and her problem wasn’t that she would work elsewhere because, doing TV, she eventually doesn’t have time to; the problem was the control the makers wanted to have over her.
Shilpa further shared how suddenly the makers wrapped her ten-day shoot in just two days, and she was told not to come from tomorrow, and upon confronting, she wasn’t given proper answers, and following that, news of her exit surfaced. The actress called these attempts to intimidate her, but she didn’t fear; rather, she quit the show herself after she was told she would be made to sit at home. She even called the producers’ association a ‘white-collar mafia’ and shared the artists’ association CINTAA’s unfair involvement.
But with her head held high and gathering courage because she didn’t do anything wrong Shilpa kept fighting for it but the pressure, allegations, claims and took a toll over her mental health and then she chose a different way out.
Shilpa confesses that she filed a false sexual harassment case against the producer Sanjay Kohli of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. The actress gets emotional, confessing the truth that because she was left with no options at that time, she had to file a false sexual harassment case.
However, Shilpa also pointed out that she many a time wished to share the truth, and today, after all these years, she is confessing that the case was false. She concluded by sharing that now everything between her and the makers is fine, which is why they reunited.
