Comedian Pranit More has been in the headlines lately over the viral video of the ‘370 Biryani’ joke that led to full-blown controversy. Amid the massive backlash from netizens, co-comedians, influencers, and actors, Pranit has apologized again with a new social media post, requesting all to give him one chance and he will become a better person.
After the controversy and backlash, reports surfaced that Pranit deactivated his Instagram account, but the comedian, with his new video, reveals that his Instagram account was suspended and now it is back. And this morning, the comedian acknowledged the backlash, apologizing and accepting his big mistake.
In his video, Pranit said, “Hello, so this thing I wanted to talk about for some time now, but my Instagram was suspended. You all might have seen my crowd work video for which I’m receiving a lot of hate. I feel I deserve this hate. Because when I was doing crowd work with that boy, he said many derogatory things, but everyone was laughing at that. I too got carried away, and I lapsed in judgment, and I feel this was my big mistake.”
He further regretted his deeds and apologized again, saying, “If I had wished, I would have stopped him then and there or would have taken a stand, but I couldn’t do that. I gave him a platform because of which the matter escalated. So whoever has been hurt with this, I apologize to all of them, and I’m cooperating with all the authorities for the legal complaints that have been filed against me.”
Lastly, Pranit, requesting one chance, said, “From you all I just want to make just one request that please give me one chance, I will become a better person. This was a learning for me too, so I’m working on myself, my content, and this you all will be able to see in my future.”
Pranit More landed in controversy when a clip from his stand-up comedy show, where a man named Himanshu Jangra shared his date story. He mentioned how he spent 370 on Biryani that he fed the girl he went on a date with, and to redeem the 370 rupees, he tried to manipulate and force himself on the girl and get sexual favors. This led to widespread backlash, with the netizens calling out this mentality. Even the man, Himanshu, was fired from his job.
