Senior actor Amit Singh Thakur will be back to the acting front soon!!
The talented actor who has had a long and fruitful behind-the-camera association with Shashi Sumeet Productions wherein he held the position of EVP – Promos and Line Production, will now enter the production’s successful show on Star Plus, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji.
Amit Singh Thakur has been roped in to play the rich and aristocratic father of Meera Mittal, essayed by Kangna Sharma.
A source tells us, “The actor will play the role of Yash Mittal, the positive, rich father who loves his daughter a lot. The much-pampered girl can be controlled only by her father.”
In the track of Tu Sooraj, Meera will fall for Umashankar (Avinesh Rekhi), and this will create a new twist in the storyline.
When contacted, Amit Singh Thakur confirmed the news to IndianWikiMedia.com, but refused to get into details.
Thakur was last seen in the Zee TV Diwali Maha Episode ‘Aaj Likhenge Kal’. His last television stint was in Pehredaar Piya Ki. Amit Singh Thakur also shot for Manish Raisinghan’s short film ‘Now You Listen’ recently.
