Days after the reports of Amruta Khanvilkar and Himanshu Malhotra’s alleged separation surfaced, the former has now reacted strongly, rejecting the baseless claims about her personal life. The actress also issued a stern legal warning to those spreading false information and defamatory content against the couple.
On Sunday, August 9, Amruta, in a joint post with her husband, Himanshu Malhotra, broke her silence on the rumors circulating online about the couple’s relationship. The reports claimed that the two have been living separately for the past year due to financial, personal, and career-related issues. The reports also mentioned that the two have not thought about divorce but are living separately.
As these reports surfaced, Amruta, breaking her silence, indirectly rejected the claims and separation buzz while issuing a stern warning of legal action against those trying to defame and spread false narratives/information.
In her notice, Amruta wrote, “OFFICIAL LEGAL STATEMENT. Effective from 10 August 2026. It has come to our attention that certain online, social media and digital platforms are circulating content concerning Ms. Amruta Khanvilkar and her personal life, which is baseless, defamatory and/or in violation of her privacy.”
Further, the actress’s legal notice, issuing a stern warning, said that misleading content circulation will be taken seriously: “While the right to freedom of expression is respected, any misuse of such freedom to publish, circulate or share defamatory statements, rumors, unverified allegations or misleading information concerning Ms. Amruta Khanvilkar will be taken seriously.”
Talking about the legal action, Amruta’s notice says, “Wherever supported by available evidence, appropriate legal action will be initiated against the individuals, entities or organizations responsible for creating, publishing, circulating or sharing such content, in accordance with applicable law.”
And concluded, reminding everyone that all instances of defamation are being monitored, “All such instances are being monitored and documented for appropriate legal recourse. – Legal Team. Ms. Amruta Khanvilkar.”
