Singer-composer Anu Malik, who was accused of sexual harassment by some of the women singers Sona Mohapatra, Neha Bhasin and Shweta Pandit, is out of Sony TV show Indian Idol 11.

Malik, who is seen as one of the judges denied all wrongdoing and said that the accusations have caused him and his reputation harm. He also hinted at taking legal action.

Today, singer Sona Mohapatra urged Smriti Irani to look into the on-going debate around Anu, after the Union Women and Child Development (WCD) Minister on Tuesday said that the government has begun compiling a database of sexual offenders. Malik has been accused of multiple women of sexual misconduct, and his return as one of the judges on the singing reality show Indian Idol has fuelled protests against Sony TV.

Now, finally the decision has been made and Anu Malik will be out of the show, as per the source.

We reached out to Anu Malik, Channel Spokesperson but did not get revert.
