After Krystle D’Souza, Arjun Bijlani has now reacted to a paparazzi page spreading a false narrative saying, “Are Arjun & Mouni Roy secretly dating after Mouni’s divorce with Suraj?” Recently, Mouni went out for dinner with Arjun Bijlani and Anusha Dandekar, where the two met and hugged each other. Sharing the spotted video from the restaurant meet, the paparazzi page asked if Mouni is now dating Arjun after her separation from Suraj Nambiar.
Reacting to this, actress Krystle D’Souza commented under the post, calling out the page and raising questions on authenticity, saying, “What is this nonsense. Just for views, you guys will post anything.”
After Krystle’s reaction, Arjun issued a statement slamming this type of journalism. He said, “Dear Clickbait pages,
Two people who’ve shared a friendship for 15+ years don’t suddenly become a couple because a gossip page needs a headline. Sometimes, people simply show up for each other, especially when a friend is going through a difficult time.”
Arjun politely urged media pages, paps, and others to do a fact-check before putting up such statements and to be more responsible, “Not every friendship needs a romantic angle for views. A little fact-checking before publishing would go a long Way. Let’s be responsible with the narratives we create.”
He further expressed his disappointment, “It’s disappointing to see certain pages publish completely baseless stories in the name of entertainment.
Not every interaction between a man and a woman deserves to be twisted into a false narrative.”
And concluded saying, “We request media pages to verify facts before spreading misleading stories that unnecessarily invade people’s personal lives and create confusion. Responsible journalism builds credibility. Clickbait doesn’t.
