The biggest shakeups in the world of television ratings for 2025 are well in place now. The BARC India Ratings released today, Week 47 of 2025, 4 December 2025, give us just that!! Anupamaa (Star Plus) continues to prove its dominance, taking the No. 1 spot yet again this week with a TVR of 2.2. We have a new competitor this week, with the newly launched reality show on Colors TV, Laugher Chefs Unlimited Entertainment S3. The show opens to a TVR of 1.9, taking the second spot across GECs, with it, joining Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus) which also has a TVR of 1.9. Udne Ki Aasha (Star Plus) drops a bit and takes ratings of 1.8 and 1.7 at the 9 PM and 8.30 PM slots respectively. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) and Zee TV’s Tumm Se Tumm Tak also have a TVR of 1.8.
Zee TV shows Vasudha and Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan get a TVR of 1.7, along with Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Bigg Boss (Colors TV) has a TVR of 1.4. Star Plus’ Aarti Anjali Awasthi, Colors TV’s Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki and Zee TV’s Jagadhatri have a TVR of 1.3. Colors TV shows Mangal Lakshmi, Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar, Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav and Tu Juliet Jatt Di have a TVR of 1.2 along with Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile.
Star Plus’ Jhanak secures a TVR of 1.1. Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol gets a TVR of 1.0 along with Colors TV shows Binddii and Manpasand Ki Shaadi and Zee TV’s Saru.
Overall, Colors TV’s new season of Laughter Chefs opens extremely well, to take the No 2 spot across GECs. Colors TV shows Mangal Lakshmi, Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar, Binddii, need to do better, while Star Plus shows Jhanak and Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi need to work their way to better ratings. Zee TV’s Saru also needs to get better. Zee TV’s experiment by airing just one episode of Tumm Se Tumm Tak at the 6.30 PM slot did not work.
