Naagin 3 actor Pearl V Puri, who was arrested on June 4 by the Waliv police on alleged charges of molesting and raping a five-year-old girl, has been granted bail, as per reports in Times Of India.
The actor was in judicial custody at the Thane jail. Now, his lawyer, Rajeev Sawant, confirmed the news to the news portal. Pearl’s lawyer had applied for bail on June 7 but he did not get bail.
The alleged incident for which Pearl was arrested took place in 2019 during the shoot of his television show, Bepanah Pyaarr. The girl is the daughter of an actor, who was Pearl’s co-star.
After the actor’s arrest, several celebrities showered support. Besides Karishma Tanna, producer Ekta Kapoor, actress Anita Hassanandani, Divya Khosla Kumar among others dismissed it as a false charge and showed support for Pearl.
