Pallavi Prashanth, the influencer, became the winner of Bigg Boss Telugu 7 on December 17, 2023, during the grand finale hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni. He lifted the trophy, beating the runner-up Amardeep Chowdary. Nearly three years after his historic victory, the influencer has made shocking claims about the show’s prize money and gifts.

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, Pallavi made substantial claims about the prize money he received after winning the reality show. In a recent interview, the influencer spoke about the big deduction in the amount applied to his winnings.

Reportedly, the original prize money for Pallavi was declared 50 lakh rupees; however, after finalist Prince Yawar accepted the 15 lakh briefcase during the finale to exit the show, the winner’s total cash prize was reduced to just 35 lakh rupees.

Speaking out about the delayed payout, Pallavi revealed that it took a long time to receive it. He shared that even when he received the money, 40 percent was deducted for taxes and GST.

Further, Pallavi revealed that additional gifts presented to him came with hidden expenses. He mentioned that the car he won required a deduction of 8.5 lakh, and he was informed that he could not take possession of it until the amount was settled.

He also revealed that a necklace the team gifted him also came with a gift tax, for which he had to pay 5 lakhs. The influencer said he questioned why he had to pay for items he had been gifted and shared that he was left with just 7.5 lakhs from the prize money after deducting everything.
