Amid her battle with breast cancer, Chhavi Mittal recently underwent fibroid surgery to get her uterine fibroid removed. On August 25, 2026, the actress shared an update about her surgery, revealing it took three hours. In the post, she said, “Surgery took around 3 hrs. Went well. I’m in too much pain rn. Still extremely groggy. Thank you all for you wishes.” And captioned the post saying, “Long road ahead.”
On August 26, 2026, Chhavi shared a glimpse of herself from the hospital bed and shared an update on her journey. The actress said, “Guys, the surgery went well. The fibroid was huge; it was bigger than we saw on the scans. There was a dermoid cyst in the ovary. We got that too. We got a biopsy of the uterus and fibroid; everything was clean.”
She further added, “So one thing out of the way. Now the recovery, the effects of the general anesthesia take a little while to go. And during a laparoscopic surgery, they inflate the stomach with carbon dioxide, and that bloating is very uncomfortable.”
Chhavi shared on her recovery, “Other than that, getting back to a normal routine, walking, and everything, she is taking one step at a time.”

Sharing her feelings about suffering from the illness, Chhavi in her caption mentioned feeling irritated. She said, “I hate this. This constant going back to square one and finding myself ‘recover’ then ‘restrengthen’ only to spiral back when I feel it’s all behind me. I’m not afraid, just irritated. To all my followers and well-wishers, esp women… I draw my strength from you, so keep sending your wishes and experiences to me.”
