CINTAA takes action; prompts Producers to pay actors

The COVID-19 pandemic had brought the entire country in a standstill for the longest time and industries across all sectors suffered massively. The result was massive financial issues everywhere. The Entertainment industry too was no exception as several actors complained of non-payment of dues due to the pandemic.

However, realizing the intensity of the situation, CINTAA has come forward in support of all the actors and technicians who had been facing financial constraints due to the non-payment of dues. In a circular, CINTAA has governed the producers to clear dues of everyone till March 2020.

This comes as a welcome move and a ray of hope for all actors and technicians including the team of Hamari Bahu Silk who had earlier raised concerns over non-payment of dues. We hope things improve from here on. For more updates, stay tuned to

We are pleased to inform you that due to the continuous and tireless efforts of our Senior Vice President Shri Manoj Joshi & Senior Joint Secretary Shri Amit Behl and with the support of the entire Executive Committee, an appeal was made to the Central Government to instruct the release of all outstanding payments of actors & technicians till March 2020, which was further persued by Hon. State Minister Shri Vinay Sahastrabuddhe ji, which has now been accepted by Hon. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javdekar ji and he has directed all the Broadcasters and Producers to release all dues upto March 2020. CINTAA is grateful to the Central Government, Hon. Minister Shri Prakash Javdekar ji and Hon.
