COVID – 19 outbreak has seen many Mumbai apartments getting sealed. Several actors too are stuck in their homes when some of the neighbors test positive.
The latest entry into this list is Sheen Dass of Star Plus show Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao. “My Goregoan east apartment has become a containment zone after professional medical resident too fell victim to this scrouge. Luckily, she ok, our healthcare workers being on the frontline in this battle against Coronavirus are more susceptible to infections.”
So how are you coping, given the fact that you might not be able to step out till at least the 3rd May when lockdown can get lifted?
“Better safe than sorry, we are getting supplies at our gate so not that bad,” says Sheen, whose other shows include Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Piya Albela, etc.
“Like everybody else, I too am getting edgy. I am passing the time getting up late, helping in the cooking and scrubbing. I have become very attached to my phone, video calling close friends, catching up with out of touch, folks. I am also using my handheld device to watch a lot of online content and also being active on social media. I am scared that hand might lose sensation with too much use (smiles). “Last but not least, I am missing walking my dog in the society compound.”
Talking about the resumption of shoots, she says, “Our 106 episodes limited series is halfway through. If the thing starts returning to normal, we might resume shoots by May end with skeleton crews. It is essential to reduce the number of people on set. However, the concept of social distancing will remain a challenge for our makeup dadas will still need to touch our faces. Also, when you on the floor, a certain amount of physical contact is unavoidable.”
