For the uninitiated, we were the first to break the news of popular actor Mohit Malik bagging the male lead’s role in the series.(If you have missed reading it, please read here – Mohit Malik to play the lead in Gul and Nilanjana’s show for Star Plus).
This show titled ‘Kulfi Kumar Baajewala’ is the adaptation of the popular Star Jalsa show, ‘Potol Kumar Gaanwala’ which traced the journey of a little girl, a singer who sets out on the search for her musician father.
A credible source tells us, “Anjali Anand will play the wife of Mohit Malik. The girl will have a strong and powerful character, with interesting negative streak.”
As we know, Mohit will don the role of a renowned and successful playback singer by name Sikandar Singh Gill.

We buzzed Producer Gul Khan and the channel spokesperson, but did not get revert till we filed the story.
As written by us, Shruti Sharma of Navya fame will play the other lead in the show and mother to little girl Kulfi. Actors Romanch Mehta and Pallavi Rao will play integral roles in the show.
