Well-known TV show producer Ekta Kapoor has strongly reacted to the latest announcement of actor Abrar Qazi’s new Zee TV show being titled Pavitra Rishta. She strongly slammed the reuse of her show’s title and called out this behaviour’ terrible ethics’.
The original Pavitra Rishta was a huge success, and people still count on the show as one of the best and most popular shows of all time. It was produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, which started in 2009, starring Ankita Lokhande and the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Ekta is appreciated for this show, and she holds this show close.
However, now the reports of Abrar Qazi’s Zee TV’s upcoming show to be titled as Pavitra Rishta have surfaced. As soon as Ekta discovered this, she reacted strongly to it, as she is not happy with the reuse of the title of her hit show. She called out the makers, saying it’s ‘terrible ethics’ and ‘intellectual bankruptcy’.
Ekta wrote, “When u can’t create an -IP u feed on an established one of another creator! Terrible ethics or intellectual bankruptcy!!! Or both !!! Nothing pavitra about it!!!”
Abrar Qazi is set to return to Zee TV with a new show by Siddharttha Vankar paired alongside Priyanshi Yadav, who was paired opposite Doree 2. The show will be produced by Aman Sachdeva.
