The new trend on Indian television is for viewers to relive the magic of the yester-year cult shows which get back with new storylines pertaining to the same main plot. We have seen Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 going on air on Star Plus. Colors will soon come up with the new season of Sasural Simar Ka. The news that has reached us now is that Balika Vadhu, the show that brought about an awareness in Indian masses about the pros and cons of child marriage will soon be back with a new season. This Colors show was on air for the longest time of 8 years before it ended its run. The show also saw a generation leap in its second season wherein Anandi’s daughter Nimboli came to the fore.
Balika Vadhu in its first edition had Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee playing the lead roles.
Now Balika Vadhu will soon be back with its new third season.
As per a reliable source, “A very enticing storyline has been approved for the show and work on Balika Vadhu’s new season has started. However, the show is still in its nascent stage as of now.”
As we know, Balika Vadhu is produced by Sphere Origins. Producers Sunjoy Waddhwa and Komal Waddhwa were heralded by one and all for bringing together this cult show.
It seems that the makers and channel Colors will relive the journey of Balika Vadhu with a brand new storyline and cast.
We buzzed Producer Sunjoy Waddhwa and channel spokesperson but did not get revert.
