Actor Iqbal Khan, all set to mark his return to the TV screens with Sony SAB’s upcoming show Hui Gumm Yaadein, produced by Smruti Shinde under the banner of SOBO Films, in an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz journalist, opens up on his character, his reaction when offered, and more.
When the IWMBuzz journalist Sweta Gupta asked about his choices, whether he didn’t do TV because he didn’t like it or something, Iqbal shared that for him, it’s not the thing that he didn’t like or didn’t wish to do TV, but because when doing a TV show, one cannot do web shows and vice versa.
Sharing about his first thoughts when this show was offered to him, and whether it was a no in the beginning. Iqbal revealed that it was not the case with him, but he thinks it’s a good show, and it should be done. And when he first came to this show set, he decided to do it anyway.
When asked his opinion on the current trend of Saas-Bahu drama on TV, and his show Hui Gumm Yaadein comes out differently, he said whether it’s challenging for him. And Iqbal clarified that he doesn’t look at things from this angle, but he feels that one should do their work with all the dedication and determination, and the show will reach the peak, which it is destined to, no matter what the trend is, and it doesn’t matter.
Opening up on the theme that this show will focus on the life of the male protagonist, Iqbal emphasized that the Sony SAB channel has a mix of shows that focus on males and females too, so it isn’t a risky thing.
When asked about his experience with the look test in the role of a doctor, Iqbal said that he didn’t think about anything, but he shared the photos with his sisters, who are doctors, and said that without learning, he has become a doctor.
