Actor Gautam Chaturvedi who is even now known for his portrayal in the yester-year popular Ekta Kapoor show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii returns to acting after a long gap with Mitu’s episodic series on the LGBTQ community, Nishabdh for Atrangii.
After a prolific career running for more than 12 years, Gautam took a break from acting in the year 2006 when he quit Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Gautam is a successful entrepreneur, having helmed his event management company for all these years.
During the lockdown, Gautam got back to his reins of acting and produced and directed a short film titled Work From Home which won multiple awards and garnered more than 7 lakh views.
Now, Gautam is working for dear friend from his successful work association, Mitu. Gautam will be seen in a very intense role, that of a doctor in Nishabdh’s episodic story.
Says Gautam, “My association with Mitu dates back to the days of my acting years back. Recently, she approached me to do a role in her new show for Atrangii. It is the role of a father who is a true believer that the LGBTQ issue is not socially acceptable and that being a doctor, he can cure people of it.”
Ask Gautam whether he is ready for his second innings as an actor, and he states, “I cannot commit to a huge number of days at acting. But yes, a web series wherein I finish my shoot quite soon, or a role that will require 5-6 days in a month from me will be very much acceptable.”
