Versatile actor Vinit Kakar who was recently seen in the Atrangii show Nishabd Kingsman, will be seen in a very different avatar in the upcoming show Swaraj, which will be based on the freedom struggle of unsung heroes across the country. This show produced by Contiloe will have a dual launch, on Doordarshan as well as on a renowned OTT platform.
We now hear that Vinit Kakar will play the role of Tirot Sing, who was also known as U Tirot Sing Sylem. He was one of the chiefs of the Khasi people in the 19th century.
When contacted, Vinit confirmed the news and told us at IWMBuzz.com, “I have played a lot many negative lead roles, in fact for more than 20 TV shows, web series and albums. Now for the first time, I will be playing a positive lead for Swaraj.”
Vinit was recently seen in the MX Player reality show series Lock Upp which was hosted by Kangana Ranaut.
