Actor Shubham Dipta, who was the leading character Kartik Nigam in the show, exited the show, and actor Manan Joshi replaced him as the main lead. Manan joined the show as an anti-hero, Karan, but as the story progressed, he became a key support for the female lead, Lakshmi, played by Sanika Amit.

He first garnered attention after winning the reality show Splitsvilla in 2020 on MTV. Besides that, Shrey has been part of projects like Bekaboo, Pishachini, and Indiawaali Maa.
