Star Plus and Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will enter a new phase wherein the leads, Armaan (Rohit Purohit) and Abhira (Samridhii Shukla), will have to handle the new-age issues that involve the upbringing of teenage girls. The show will see a two-year leap, after which there will be new angles in the story, with a love story developing.

But there is an unfortunate development, which has slightly delayed the post-leap shoot. Shagufta Ali is no longer a part of the project owing to her health conditions.
A little birdie tells us, “Neelu Vaghela, the senior actress, recently seen in TV shows Mangal Lakshmi, Pati Anaadi, etc, is likely to play the above-said role. Presently, talks are happening with her.”
We buzzed the actress, but we could not get through to her.
We reached out to the Producer and the channel spokesperson, but did not get a response till we filed the story.
