Popular actor Ankur Verma, who played the lead in Colors TV and Balaji Telefilms’ successful show Parineetii, will soon be back on TV. He will now headline the upcoming show of Producer and Director Arvind Babbal for Zee TV.
Arvind Babbal Productions is currently basking in the success of their hard work on the show Vasudha, which airs on Zee TV. The show’s engaging storyline and strong performances have propelled it to the top-rated slot across all channels for the past five weeks.
Now, the banner is working on a new show for Zee TV, which will further strengthen the bond.
We hear that the show, which is in its nascent stage, is being worked upon presently.

Talking about the show, it is about a dusky girl for whom the makers and the channel are presently looking for an apt, fresh face to play the role.
We buzzed Ankur but did not get through to him. Recently, Ankur was in the news for his marriage to Leena Verma. The wedding happened as an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends in Haryana, on 25 February, 2026.
We reached out to the Producer and the channel spokesperson, but did not get a response till we filed the story.
Zee TV is currently experiencing a massive, historic comeback. After years of rival channels dominating the peak positions, Zee TV revamped its content strategy, and it has paid off tremendously. While Vasudha tops the charts, Tumm Se Tumm Tak and Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan are placed close behind Vasudha. The channel also has Jagadhatri and Lakshmi Niwas doing well.
