Ace Producer Rajan Shahi who has given amazing TV shows like Sapna Babul Ka.. Bidaai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Anupamaa, has always provided realistic characters and plots under his banner Director’s Kut.

With Anupamaa, Rajan Shahi became a proud son when he collaborated with his mother Smt Deepa Shahi under the new banner Shahi Productions Pvt. Ltd. At the age of 78 years, Rajan Shahi’s mother turned Producer and is actively involved in the process of making Anupamaa.

As we know, the three generations of Rajan Shahi have been Producers. Rajan Shahi’s maternal grandfather Paidi Jairaj was an amazing actor, Producer and Director of his time.

Now, Rajan Shahi’s daughter Ishika Shahi will be leading the way in the fourth generation of the family to turn Producer.

Talking about this development exclusively with IWMBuzz.com, Rajan Shahi tells us, “I will be branching out with Ishika at the end of this year or early next year with a new company. The newly formed banner will be focussing on films and concepts for the digital platform. We are presently into the groundwork required to launch the new banner.”

“There was a lot of thought that went into the kind of work DKP wanted to do when we launched it in the year 2007. Similarly, now, it will be a big plunge for me in the year 2022. Ishika will be spearheading the company, with me basically looking into it as a partner,” states. Rajan.

Talking about his daughter’s recent achievements, Rajan explains, “Ishika recently conceived and directed a short film which won her an International Scholarship. It was very heartening to see that she did a lot of homework on what she wanted to do and executed it very well. She’s doing very well in her craft. I have seen her hard work and dedication. She holds a lot of confidence, and starting her own production house will lay down the path where she can work on a lot of things. The digital platform is something where I have not ventured much. So, her new ideas and understanding will lead the way.”

Wow!! This is good news for the Shahi family!!

Here’s wishing the Shahis all the very best!!
