&TV, the Hindi GEC channel owned by Zee Entertainment, has been providing variety in terms of content eversince its launch in 2015. The shows of the channel, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, etc., have been the channel’s trademark shows. The channel has been known for heralding the genre of comedy in its shows. While the channel’s overall TRP remains low, its loyal cult following has been supportive of the long-running hits and new spin-offs.
But now, the news is that &TV is ending its tenure of having new content. From May 2026, the channel will go on to become a paid rerun channel. This decision, taken amid closed doors, has been a call taken by the new management coming in.
A little birdie tells us, “If &TV’s decision to air reruns gets confirmed, its existing shows will see a change. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, is presently in talks for a place in the OTT medium, ZEE5. Gharwali Pedwali might shut shop in May if this decision to end originals gets approved. The upcoming show planned on &TV, Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan, might be aired on Zee TV, but the final confirmation has not been arrived at yet.”
