OG Angoori Bhabhi aka Shilpa Shinde marked her return to & TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain after almost a decade. And in an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz, she opened up on her return, her character in the 2.0 version, the controversy surrounding her statement regarding Shubhangi Atre, and more.
In the exclusive interview with IWMBuzz journalist Sweta Gupta, the OG Bhabiji reacted to her warm welcome to the show after a decade. The actress quoted that she deserved this from childhood, meaning to work with good people, to do a good project, because she has always done good projects, which means she believes in quality over quantity.
She further highlighted that when Bhabiji was about to come, Shilpa knew it was something good, and even Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain 2.0 is also good. Shilpa shared that she received a warm welcome from the whole team and praised all the actors and characters, saying they have secured their own place in people’s hearts.
Talking about her characters, Shilpa shared that she will be the same Angoori Bhabhi, but there will be new factors in the show, and also pointed out the horror Bhabhiji statue, which is a surprise for fans.
Getting ready as Angoori Bhabhi again, Shilpa got emotional and shared that she couldn’t see herself in the mirror, as it was a weird feeling for her because of the history.
Shilpa lastly addressed the misinterpretation of her recent statement, reflecting on how people misuse things. She clarified that she was praising Shubangi Atre and that all the praise she is getting is what she has earned, and she feels sorry for how people gain footage.
