Actress Srishti Singh is all set to return to TV with a new role in the upcoming Sony SAB show Hui Gumm Yaadein. And now, in an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz, the actress who will play the role of Doctor Vaani, revealed what made her say yes to the character and more.
In an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz journalist Sweta Gupta, when asked if she said yes to Hui Gumm Yaadein as she was offered, or if there is a different story, Srishti revealed, “No! Firstly, I listened to the story, I understood the character of Vaani, and I felt like Vaani’s character is that of a very strong girl.”
“It’s the character of such a girl that everyone wants to become, even I want to become. Firstly, Vaani is a doctor, and she is definitely sharp and confident, but she is also emotionally very strong. Her character is such that she doesn’t wish to show her problems and things to anyone, and even deals with things herself. So when I understand these things about Vaani, I understand that it’s a very strong character and even in the story she has many layers,” Srishti added.
Explaining further, the actress said, “You will see in the show, Vaani has many layers in her character from her chemistry and equation with doctor Dev (Iqbal Khan), her equation with the patients, she is different with everyone; from her equation with doctor Dev, patients, personal life, and even professionally—she has different equations. So I saw so many layers to this character, and it is something different, it is something in which I can come into my zone and do the acting, what I feel I can do. Also, the story is good, and since it’s a medical drama, and this I haven’t done ever, so that was also one thing to say yes.”
