The regional content that is by far being touched upon most on Hindi television has been Bengali TV content. The last few years has seen so many Bengali hit TV show being made into Hindi. While a few have set new benchmarks in Hindi TV, many of them have failed to garner ratings. However, there is no denying the fact that the Bengali content is the most sought-after concepts on Hindi television right now.

Kulfi Kumar Bajewala adapted from Potol Kumar Gaanwala:

Kulfi Kumar Bajewala starring Mohit Malik, Aakriti Sharma and Myra Singh was a huge show for Star Plus. This went on to become a musical extravaganza on prime time on the channel. This show was adapted from the popular Bengali show Potol Kumar Gaanwala.

Anupamaa adapted from Sreemoyee:

Anupamaa the numero uno show on Star Plus has been winning the audiences’ love for two years now. Starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna, Anupamaa which got launched amid the Covid pandemic has been a trendsetter on Hindi television. The original of this show happens to be the Indrani Haldar starrer Bengali show Sreemoyee.

Imlie adapted from Ishti Kutum:

Imlie showed the grit and courage of a village girl who went on to take forward her journey in the big city after being wed to an already engaged man. Sumbul Touqeer and Gashmeer Mahajani were the leads of this popular Star Plus show. However, this concept was adapted from Ishti Kutum, the hit Bengali show.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin adapted from Kusum Dola:

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin the popular Star Plus show has become a huge hit. It stars Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma. This show again is adapted from the popular Bengali show Kusum Dola.

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 adapted from Ke Apon Ke Por:

Season 2 of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya saw a servant maid Gehna becoming the daughter-in-law of the house. The show had Harsh Nagar and Sneha Jain playing the leads. This show was taken up from the Bengali show Ke Apon Ke Por.

Teri Meri Doriyaann adapted from Gaatchora:

An entertaining new show on Star Plus that has seen its launch is Teri Meri Doriyaann. This is a tale about love and being loved. It has three brothers from a sophisticated family paired up with three sisters from a middle-class family. This show has been adapted from the Bengali show Gaatchora.

Rishton Ka Manjha adapted from Deep Jwele Jai:

Rishton Ka Manjha the Zee TV show talked about how a young girl from a small town aspires to become a badminton player and how she is inspired by a former badminton player. This show was adapted from the Bengali show Deep Jwele Jai.

Mithai adapted from Mithai:

This Zee TV show Mithai traversed the journey of a young girl who aspires to get into the sweet-making business. Her life collides with a guy who has a dislike for sweets. This show was adapted from the Bengali show Mithai.

Well, these are just a few that we have listed out here. Apart from the above, many shows were adapted to Hindi from Bengali.
