Anuj Sachdeva has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry and has been around for over a decade but has never played a father on-screen. The actor who is currently seen in the TV show Woh To Hai Albelaa, has a web series ‘Ek Extra Mile’ lined up for release on Voot in the coming week wherein he is playing the role of a father. Anuj reveals, “I am playing the character, Abhishek Ahuja who is a husband, a father, and is trying to strike a balance between his work life and personal life. Yeh character apne kaam ke saath saath apni family ko time dene ki koshish karta hai jo har ek working man ki kahaani hai. This series is neither a thriller nor the story has major ups & downs or major problems, it’s a simple slice of life story. There is nothing larger than life in this story, and is more of a relatable series, wherein this guy is trying his best to manage his work and his family life. So the major part of the series is about how this character manages to connect with the son and how he manages to balance his life and spare time for his family, as he also is occupied and consumed with his work. It’s all about how he is going to manage both, where and how will be give and divide the time. Every man who is working will be able to relate to it, especially when they have a young child or when their children were young, and how they would want to spend time at home with their kid while at the same time also handle the work and the responsibilities at work, as it’s equally important to grow and succeed at your work space, because it’s important to excel there too. Yes, it’s for the first time I am playing a father on-screen and I think as an actor one should explore and experiment. So this has been a different experience and I absolutely loved playing this character and I am looking forward for it’s release.”
